my pie is in the oven...

We went to the strawberry patch today!  I know, we pick the HOTTEST days to do outdoor events, LOL.  It actually wasn't too bad, Violet gave up first and I found her sitting in the stroller.  I have to say the picture of her in the strawberry box with the crates on her head was NOT staged, I promise...I cannot believe I got my camera on fast enough to capture the picture.  Lucy loved picking this year, I figured she would and it was especially easy today, there were hundreds every few feet, it was awesome.  After picking we dropped some strawberries off at Miss Suzanne's....they also happen to have a swimming pool and the girls were thrilled to jump in after mommy had them out in the 87 degree heat like they were slaves.  p.s. my pie is in the oven...breakfast will be delish, come on over!

 This weekend we celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary and this week we are celebrating no more bottles for Violet!  I know, it is way overdue... it is what it is.  So, Monday morning we put the bottles out with the trash and we are heading into day three!  She is doing great!  Hope everyone is having a great week and has a fun long Memorial weekend.

VIolet's big girl bed...

 Violet has a big girl bed!  I did not want to be working on this the week before our new baby arrived, so Grandma C. came over tonight to put together Violet's big girl room.  We kept the crib in her room, since she has not gotten out yet, we didn't want to force it on her.  However, Daddy and I both thought she would be over the moon feeling like a big girl and we were right...Tonight at bedtime, she did not want to go into her crib, it was so cute.  She tried for an hour to get herself to sleep in her new bed, she wanted it so bad, but finally gave up, put her arms in the air to go in her crib and was out like a light in seconds.  We shall see what the rest of the week brings, maybe she will figure it out and be done with the crib... hard to believe our sweet Violet is growing up so fast.
