Today was "RED"day for Lucy's class, so of course little sister had to wear red too and I snapped this picture of them hugging before we left the house. The second picture was Lucy Sunday morning, I took her out for a breakfast with just Mommy, she was a princess eating her crepes at our little table for two.
Okay, seriously, going to the orchard with my girls is one of my favorite things. Not only do I get to capture one of those priceless "walking away" photos, but we just get to soak up a lot of moments with nothing else but us, eating apples, and talking--no distractions, no technology(well, except my camera.) One of the greatest things about being a parent is getting all the random moments with them. Kids have a way of making a moment so simple and pure, it is amazing what their little brains come up with that make them say or do something, you can't help but smile and want to hug and kiss them. Today gave me some of that time with them and I hope I can remember it as long as I live, I am so blessed to have Lucy and Violet in my life.
*the third picture down, you have to look at Violet's cheeks, she has so much apple in them, it was hilarious!
Lucy made it through another day at school! Today she seemed a little more relaxed about it when she came out and we got her picture with her teachers.
Today was Lucy's 1st day of preschool(in the "heart" class, which is why we had heart shapes for breakfast, of course!) Lucy did great, after our hugs she went straight into the doors where her teacher was waiting for her. Mommy...not so great, I held it together until I got in the van and then cried all the way to Target. Daddy, Violet and Mommy spent two hours in Target, with all the other parents trying to keep busy during the "first day." I watched my phone and the clock like a hawk. Lucy seemed to like it. It is hard to get a lot of details from a three year old. After lunch I took Lucy up for a nap and she said she likes Mrs. Stripes(Zipes,) then out of the blue she was singing a bye bye song, she said they sang it in school, and then she was asleep in seconds.
All ready with her school bag she decorated!
There goes out Lucy! (She is the one almost to the door in the picture above.)
Today Lucy had a tea party at school, to meet her teachers and a few students in her class. Lucy really seemed to love it, especially when she walked into the "free time" room and there it was....a Radio Flyer PONY! She ran like it was Christmas morning with her face glowing. After several minutes on it, she actually gave it up to Anna who was waiting patiently for a turn, it was so cute to see her so happy at school.
