Mommy's back

I am back! Daddy survived and just as I figured, Violet is now a daddy's girl.

Wow, it sure was weird to go on a trip without kids. The airplane ride alone was a shock to my system. I almost felt like I was doing something wrong...no diapers, snacks, formula, car seats or strollers. I forgot how traveling CAN be relaxing. So, my mom sister and I had not been away, just the three of us, since 1996 when we were in Paris. You better believe we soaked up every second, it was SO nice. Dinner, dancing, crying, laughing AND the beach, it was perfect. Thank you to our hubbies for staying back with the kids, my two and my sister's four, lots of work for the Daddy's! With any luck, we will ALL be back at the beach VERY soon!

Thanks for a great trip Mom and Ju, we will never forget it!

three steps!!!

Tonight was a big night for Violet, she took THREE steps! It was so amazing, Lucy Daddy and I were all right there with her and got to see her sweet face light up when she finally did it. I also had my phone right there and got a quick picture(yes, it is blurry and yes she is naked about to get in the bath with a very wet diaper, oh well...didn't expect this to be the moment, LOL.) Yippppee Violet!




p.s. Daddy has the girls for the weekend, Mommy is going to the beach this weekend with Buni and Aunt JuJu! Thank goodness Violet took her first steps before I left!

Father's day weekend

This post is a day late, sorry...
Wanted to say Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there! We had a great day at the annual Father's Day car show! Lucy caught Grandpa C. by surprise saying, "let's go walk around and look at some cars." Too funny. The pink car was there again this year for the girls, but Daddy was a bit crushed his Smokey and the Bandit car didn't show up.
We also had a big start to our weekend getting to see Daddy's new office for his dealership software company, check out the picture with the sign, it is listed under the 2nd floor -- iTap Menu We are so proud of him! Love you Daddy!


Also new for Lucy this weekend was playing in the rain, she had a blast with two of the neighbor kids!

Lucy had her friend Lydia over to play today, I found her reading to Lydia in her sunglasses and couldn't resist the picture...

Buni's here!

Buni arrived, yahooo! We are soaking up our few days with her, yesterday we went to the park and pool, it was perfect weather. Today Daddy heads out of town, so we will be having girl time today/tonight.

Lucy had her first dentist appointment today! It went super and they said her teeth are doing great! p.s. yes, she is wearing a candy necklace...I am sure the dentist appreciated it too! LOL

Lucy's 1st bike ride

Lucy went on her first bike ride! After months of working on pedaling in the cul-de-sac, she just took off tonight, it was awesome! She actually made it farther than I thought she would, hopefully in a couple weeks we will make it all the way down our street and back!

zoo fun

Keeping with tradition, I took the girls to the zoo on the hottest day of the year, OMG. We had a blast anyway and for those of you in Indy, you MUST go see the new tiger exhibit, it is AWESOME! They actually trained a tiger inches from our nose(with glass in between of course!) I loved it and Lucy went crazy. Violet loved the sharks and penguins, but that is because those were the times she got out of the stroller.
