one more

One more...

more Florida pics

After I looked at the Florida pictures Shawn had on his phone, I could not resist blogging some more for you all to see! So....

All SIX kids at breakfast, what a crew!

Family photo, yes, the girls are in their pj's, it is what it is.

Yoga on the beach....Ahhhhhh. ( our hubbies surprised us with this morning treat, it was awesome!)

Sign at a local restaurant(photo taken for obvious reasons.)

Double date night.

We have this same picture from about five years ago....just looking a bit more tired and a few more wrinkles.

Shawn about to fly through the air attached to a bunch of rubber bands.

Kids amazed at what Shawn is about to do.

Florida 2011

We're back! Buni took us to Indian Rocks Beach for a week, BLISS! Yep, we were all in one condo and it was a blast. We couldn't have asked for better weather. We were shelling and poolside most of the time. A few days we went into Clearwater to enjoy the Pier and beach. One night I got out with my hubby and we hit our old stops when we were living the dating life, so that was fun again! We even got out on a double date night with my sister and her hubby! Shawn took me home after I was singing "Islands in the Stream" to the entire bar.
Our girls LOVED LOVED it, Lucy was really into the beach and shelling. All the cousins enjoyed being together and Buni was over the moon having all her "seashells" with her on the beach.

Thanks for a great trip Buni, Uncle John, Aunt Julie, Jonas, Jack, Jana, Joey...one we'll never forget!

Big potty--day 1

24
3
2

That is....
24 trips to the bathroom
3 changes of wet pants
2 diapers*
And a whole bunch of "prizes"

I don't have a picture to go with this blog, I didn't figure it would be appropriate to post a shot of Lucy in the bathroom, which is where we spent the majority of our day! Don't ask me why, I knew there would come a day and it just hit me this morning... Today is the day to jump into potty training!?!?! I am literally exhausted, but it was worth every second and the load of laundry! When I told Lucy what we were going to do today, the first hour was HORRIBLE, which was also when the accidents occured, but then suddenly she went with it and we were off! I am aware that tomorrow might be a different story, but we survived day one. I also only have two more days until we are on vacation and we will have five adults to help zip her to the potty and four cousins to encourage being a big kid, so I know she'll make it! I got a say, seeing my little girl run around in panties is adorable, that little bum has been in a diaper all this time, it is so stinking cute!

Nope, I am not even going there, we'll tackle night time without diapers and pooing another day....one step at a time gang.

*the two diapers today were one for her nap and one tonight for bed!

captured on film

Grandpa and Grandma C. came over last night and we had some good cozy family time. There was this one moment I had to capture on film for all to see.....look closely.....my Father is playing on the iPad! Shawn got him hooked with a car driving game, it was hilarious. I don't think he is rushing out to the Apple store today, but we all got a good laugh out of it.

30

Tonight I had a big talk with Lucy, that it's time to be a big girl when she is 3 ....time to be done with her pacifiers and time to go on the potty, no more diapers....yadi yada.... basically Mommy going on and on at the end of a long day.
Lucy just looked up at me with her brown eyes, puckered lip and said, "I don't want to be thirty."
All I could do was laugh...and of course I told her I didn't want her to be thirty yet either.
