hugs and prayers
This is an extra special post today, we are reaching our arms out with a giant hug to "Aunt B and Uncle Diesel" and their family. Papa G. is fighting cancer and we need everyone to help us pray for him.

so proud
Well, we guessed it, Lucy LOVES gymnastics. Shawn and I were so proud, she really listened and tried hard at what the teacher, Mr. Troy, wanted her to do. It is worth every penny for our Lucy, I am so happy that we did this for her. I gotta say, it felt like she was all grown up, but I loved every second of it. After class was over, she said, "I don't want to go home, I want to stay here!"
Lucy's new gymnastics friend, Alison.
Listening to Mr. Troy....stretch!
Feet up!
Trampoline!
First try at the balance beam!
More balance!
Getting her stamps!
Violet is so proud of big sister!

Rapunzel
Well, I believe it is true, your childhood fun lives on through your children. Today I took Lucy to see Tangled, I have been going crazy to see it and finally found a moment. Disney fairy tales are my weakness. Now I use my daughter as my excuse to watch Disney movies...."Honey, she needs to see the new Disney, she will love it." Should be, "Honey, I need to see the new Disney and I will love it." So, there I was in the movie theater, ear to ear smile with tears in my eyes as Rapunzel watched the lanterns light up the sky with her prince Eugene.
Thank goodness Lucy loved it too and we raced to the Disney store after the show to "rescue" Rapunzel and bring her home to our house! I know, I am crazy, maybe yours is playing kitchen or building Legos', for me, I get to continue my love for Disney movies, thanks to Lucy and Violet. Oh and yes, my husband thinks it's weird that I, at 35 am OBSESSED with them...

Happy New Year!
2011...seriously? Where did the last five years go? I went ahead with the majority of people and made a resolution to get my body in shape, under my clothes it needs some work. For my resolution as a mom, it will be to spend more time playing with the girls and less time creating projects to complete. I am hoping someone in the world has a resolution to buy a house, ours specifically, so we can get our move done and find a house to be in until the girls are grown. All that seems like a lot now that I put it in writing, so for today I will just get one workout in and take Lucy outside to play.
Happy New Year to all, I hope your midnight was fun. Our New Year's was at noon yesterday with the neighbors which is so fun for the kids, I recommend it to all you parents with little ones! I did manage to stay up last night for the Dick Clark count down, then my eyes were shut instantly. We have our sitter booked to go out tonight(I know, it sounds strange, but all the good sitters were going out last night,) yeah for us!
