Thanksgiving
Well, since it is December 1, I figure it is time to get my Thanksgiving blog posted! Jeez, the holidays all come and go so quickly these days. We had 40 sit down for Turkey this year and several more joined us for Bingo in the basement. It was so much fun and nice to be together, thanks to all who made food and for those that made extra efforts to be with us, we love it! Oh and those who didn't do the Drumstick Dash, we expect you to join us in that next year too!

Luke
Lucy's friend that she met while we were at Buni's beach house was in town last weekend visiting his grandparents! Luke lives in Georgia, but his grandparents live in Indiana! We surprised Lucy in the morning and asked if she had a friend from Georgia that she would like to spend the day with. Without hesitation she screamed, "My Lukey!" It was so cute, they had a blast together. I just hope our next meeting is in Florida again! HA!

The Breeders Cup
Ahhhhhhhhh, I got a weekend away with my hot hubbie! We went down to Kentucky for the Breeders Cup horse race, it was a blast! I had not been to Churchill Downs, it is amazing. I highly recommend a day at the races, even if you are not into gambling, it is really fun! Shawn and I both slept SEVEN hours straight(two nights in a row,) with no monitor, no babies crying, no bathroom breaks, it was BLISS! Grandpa and Grandma M. stayed at our house with the girls, a big thanks to them, it was a really nice to get away. Lucy asked me if Grandpa and Grandma could come stay the night again...which I said, "of course they can sweetie, any time!" :))

Happy Halloween!
Halloween 2011....
Baby Rapunzel, Long Hair Rapunzel, Short Hair Rapunzel and our prince Flynn Rider!
It was a fun Halloween! Lucy loved running house to house and Mommy loved when she came home with an Oh Henry bar! I have not had one of those in 15 years, THANK YOU to the neighbor that bought those! Hope every one had treats and no tricks!

family reunion
After driving for what seemed like forever into a cornfield, we arrived at Raccoon Hideaway for our 2011 family reunion. The day started with frost on the ground, but turned out to be the perfect weather for a day to play wiffle ball, color pumpkins and gather around the campfire. We had a huge attendance this year, but believe it or not, there were still several not there that we missed having with us. When our family is together it makes me think of my Grandma and Grandpa Cline, it is the same feeling I got at there house on 131st around the pool, I love every second of it and feel so happy my girls are getting to enjoy it now. Thanks again Angie for putting this together, I know it is a lot of work, it was perfect.
A few side notes:
*Lucy thanks Uncle Skip for all the golf cart rides.
*I hear we might all need to pitch in to repair Angie's shed! LOL...ask Trent.
*Scratch craft was a hit again.
*David, don't forget to stock the Coke machine next year, with all buttons giving out "root beer," Shawn will have his quarters ready.
*Anyone needing specific pictures, email me and I will send them to you.

deja vu
Okay, when I was growing up as the little sister, the MINUTE Julie was out of the house, I went straight for her room. I remember it as clear as day, within seconds I would have on her clothes, shoes and be going through her drawers...anything to be like her.
So, today, we dropped Lucy off at school, returned home and within a minute, Violet had found Lucy's shoes and was putting them on. She had a look on her face that said, "HA, she is gone and left her fancy shoes out, yippeee for me!" I tried to get a picture of her walking in them, but they fell off or she fell down so quickly I couldn't get it. She must have handed them to me twenty-five times to put back on her...she was loving every second of having big sisters shoes all to herself. It was so cute.

Daddy Date Night
Last night was Daddy Date Night at Lucy's school. Lucy got all dressed up and Daddy was the perfect gentleman, bringing her a corsage, she was glowing when he put it on. Lucy picked out a heart locket she wanted to wear with her dress, with a picture of her prince charming(Daddy) inside, it was absolutely adorable. Daddy said it was so cute to see her in her class. Lucy made Daddy a rock and the teacher read a story that Lucy wrote about her Dad, which included that he eats salad. How cute is that!

Lucy's Stationary bike
I hope you are able to open this video, Lucy invented her own stationary bike today...

pumpkin patch
We went to the pumpkin patch today with Grandpa and Grandma C.! The pumpkin's were huge, so it made picking a little tricky for Lucy and Violet, but they sure tried to pick them up anyway. The girls also got to go on the pumpkin train, Lucy had her arm around Violet the entire ride, it was so sweet. Violet went on her first pony ride and she loved it, go figure, following in her sister's footsteps loving animals! Thanks for a great day Papa and Grandma!
