there's more...
Well, as most of you may have guessed, out night did not end after all those margaritas. We found Bebe and Shawn in the kitchen having a beer tasting contest, which led to an injury. I am still not sure what happened to Bebe's hand, but Mom pulled an aloe plant out of her purse which was funny in itself...who carry's around an aloe plant? We ended the night around the fire, I am not sure any of us had an ounce of energy left at that point.

it's contagious
The love and laughter with the Romanian's is contagious, we have had the greatest day and it's not even over! There are so many pictures, I can hardly choose what to post. We spent most of our day downtown Indianapolis on the canal walking and soaking up the beautiful weather. Lucy is hilarious trying to speak Romanian and Bebe is her buddy, calling his name every thirty seconds. After some rest at home we headed out to Cancun for mexican food, Mariana LOVES margaritas and chips! We had a few margaritas, a few more and then a few more(see pictures!) After dinner we stopped at Oakhill Mansion where my sweetie and I celebrated after we were married three years ago. Bebe proposed to Mariana again and we ran around like it was their wedding night, hilarious! Almost home we made one more stop at one of Shawn's best friends house and Bebe gave everyone some laughs...the margaritas made this even more fun! Home now Mariana is making us a Romanian dessert, Cremsnit...we will all be 'snitzed' soon! Oh, and we are drinking more margaritas, why stop? ...Mariana wishes they had margaritas like these in Romania!

The romanians are here!
Around 10 o'clock last night Buni arrived with our Romanian friends Bebe and Mariana! We are having so much fun already laughing non stop, they love the girls and have brought so many nice things for them. Bebe was teaching Shawn to speak Romanian last night, too funny! We especially send out a thank you to their daughters at home Reluca, Bianca and their families for all the beautiful things they sent us.
I am not sure how we'll spend their day in Indiana...I am trying to figure out what we have around here to show them besides corn fields. I was set to take them to see the Speedway until I found out they had never heard of the Indy 500...guess that big cement oval won't mean much.

baking and babies
Yeah, I know this blog is about my girls, but Mommy has some fun too and tonight we had a little of both at our house, so I had to share pics from our good old fashioned girls night. The girls were in bed as we baked cupcakes, drank and talked, it was SO much fun! The cupcakes turned out delicious and we never even got around to making the icing!

cupcakes gone bad
As most of you know, I have an obsession with cupcakes, but I have not made any in a while.
So, Lucy and I made yellow cupcakes with banana buttercream icing today, sounds yummy right? Nope, the cupcake was dry and the buttercream had too much butter(yes, there is such a thing.) Oh well, it was a blast making them with Lucy and watching her attempt to put the icing on. Guess I will work on my cupcake making without the girls awake. Probably better for my belly that they didn't turn out, I'd be eating instead of blogging right now! Anyway, how cute is my Lucy in this picture? Poor girl woke up with a cold today, school is back in session and the bugs are already flying around town. Good thing we weren't making these cupcake for anyone, we wouldn't want to give away Lucy's runny nose! Wait, yes I would! HA!
p.s. just had a thought...banana buttercream on a chocolate cupcake...might have a better presentation? oh yeah, and, I could not find my big plain icing tip, so the icing on these doesn't look that great...I wanted them to have "the perfect swirl."

47-15
Shawn and I got out for our high school rival football game Friday night. Shawn drove home with his hat down after my Huskies destroyed his Blue Devils 47-15! LOVE IT! It was even more hilarious to hear Shawn call his best friend to pay his debt and say, "Let's face it, Heights is better than Tipton."
Here are a few pics of us in the t-shirts I had made for us to wear, so fun!

state fair
Today it feels like it is 120 degrees outside, oh yeah and we decided to go to the State Fair, the hottest thing we could think of! We loaded up the van this morning and headed down to the fair with Grandpa and Grandma C. We started our tour at the swine barn, Lucy could have stayed in there all day once the farmer told her she could pet the baby pigs. From there it was a stop at the sheep barn, Lucy did not recognize the sheep at first, since their wool had already been shaved off! We also saw the horses, goats and cows! After the animal barns we spent some time in the State Farm building...it was air conditioned, oh, and they had a bunch of things for kids to do, a win win. We thought our last stop was the pony ride until Lucy spotted the elephant. Yes, that's right readers...at the state fair where all the FARM animals are represented they also had one huge circus animal, the elephant, and they were giving rides on him for $6. Well I thought for sure since Lucy just recently was brave enough to get on a pony that there was not a chance she'd want on a 16,000 pound 13 foot high elephant...I was wrong, the girl was smiling ear to ear and climbed right up the stairs! It was awesome, kind of...kind of scary for mom, but she was in Grandma's lap, so it seemed safe? We cooled off on the ride home and made it in time for naps, ahhhhh.

swimming
Yesterday Lucy's grandpa took her swimming, they had a blast. I got great pictures, however, I have had two days now where my camera has lost all the pictures when I go back to download them, I don't know what is going on. So, thankfully I took this shot with my cellular phone to capture snack time at the pool. The rest of the pictures were SOOOO good, bummer they are gone. So, postings will be slim until I figure out what the deal is with my camera, which I have to do fast, I don't want to miss out on Violet photo ops while she is little.
