Our neighbors are on spring break and we are pet sitting their frogs this week. Lucy is so funny with them, she loves watching them and talking to them. This morning she said, "Hi Frogs, I'm Lucy."

We had great weather Friday and Saturday and Lucy enjoyed it to the fullest, she LOVES being outside and so does mommy! Here is my little gardener and then Lucy playing in some sand that Daddy brought home.

the jinchao adventure

Lucy and I did not adventure to China today, but we did go up to Grandpa and Grandma C.'s house to enjoy the weather. One of Grandpa's newest additions to his odd collections is the Jinchao, most often only known as a taxi in China. Yes, they have one up on the farm and Lucy LOVED it...actually Mommy enjoyed it too, well except the ride around the barn on it that seemed a bit unstable. Now that I have read online that they tip easily, we'll be sure to only circle the driveway on our next visit Grandpa! Wish I could have gotten a picture of Lucy, Grandma and Mommy all in the back with Grandpa driving, it was so cute! Thanks for the fun! Hope everyone got out today at some point to enjoy the weather!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hope everyone is having a super St. Patrick's Day! Lucy and I went to the parade downtown, she loved it!

bed update

After three nights on the crib mattress on the floor, last night at bedtime Lucy ASKED to sleep in her big bed! I could hardly believe my ears and said, "Go for it girl," as she climbed up so excited. It took her a while to fall asleep, but once she did, she SLEPT ALL NIGHT!!! With one cry out at midnight needing help to find her pacifier, she slept until 6:45 a.m.! PRAISE THE LORD!
p.s. about 15 stuffed animals and babies also slept in her big bed, it was hilarious!

Good News: Lucy's big bed arrived.
Bad News: She REFUSED to get in it.
Good News: Lucy slept in HER room until 4 a.m.(on her crib mattress on the floor)
Bad News: So did Mommy.
Good News: She went back to sleep from 4 to 7 a.m.
Bad News: Mommy did not.
Good News: At 7 a.m. she jumped up and wanted to get up in her big bed!
Bad News: That only lasted about 15 seconds.
To end on Good News....Lucy never wanted in out of her room last night and she didn't get in our bed! Hallelujah!

All in all, I would say it was a pretty good and typical first night with a big bed. I know it's going to be a long couple weeks, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. The weirdest thing is seeing a bed in Lucy's room, it seems HUGE.

a Cline

Look....she does have "Cline" in her blood! I promise, this was not staged, Lucy picked up the screwdriver and knew exactly how to use it! Papa will be so proud! Thank goodness I had my phone right next to me to capture the proof!

1st swimming lesson

Lucy had her first swimming lesson this weekend, as you can see, she was a little fish, it was awesome!

1st haircut

Big day for Lucy, she got her first haircut! Here are some pictures of her reading a magazine waiting her turn(hilarious), the cutting and then some after shots. Mommy and Daddy are still in shock with all her crazy baby curly hair gone, but we are happy that it is out of her eyes. Guess I didn't know how grown up she'd look...kind of breaks our heart. a good prego day

For me, I feel like a blob most of my prego days, but there are a few cute ones here and there...today is a good day, so I thought I'd share some pics, since so many of you are asking if I have a belly yet. OH YEAH baby, my little girl is growing and so am I. I also wanted to show off the adorable iBaby t-shirt from my hubby, probably why I am having a cute day. Any pregos out there, seriously think about getting a tee at macstees.com, it will give you a boost and make you feel hip during a very non feeling hip time. Okay, I am also posting a picture of my new adorable shoes, my mom got these for me, they are too fun! I hope everyone has a great Friday!

cereal

Yahooooo, she might finally be hooked on having a bowl of cereal! Lucy sometimes will have a bite of my cereal, but she would never settle on her own bowl with milk for breakfast...until today! I am so excited, why, because I feel like breakfast just got a whole lot easier! Thank you Cinnamon Life, I am crossing my fingers this continues!

my little artist

It seems to be a fact that all kids color something they shouldn't.... I discovered Lucy's artistic moment this morning...
The mantle behind her wasn't so white before I took this picture...yep, she colored in all the wood detailing...picture five dark green vertical ridges above her head! Kind of funny, especially that she used green and it is March! Guess I wouldn't be laughing as much if I couldn't get it clean, thank goodness for Windex!
